About Sacred Sip Cacao

Sacred Sip Cacao is an Australian cacao brand offering 100% pure ceremonial-grade Criollo cacao, ethically sourced from family-run farms in Peru and shipped across Australia. Our cacao has a rich, chocolatey flavour with natural fruity notes and no additives, making it ideal for cacao rituals and everyday mindful moments.

It started with a single sip.

Early this year, while wandering through the streets of Bali, I found myself drawn to a small shop selling pure ceremonial cacao. Something called me in, and the moment I tasted it, everything changed.

I fell in love instantly. So did my partner. We kept going back, sometimes twice a day, letting that rich, velvety warmth become the highlight of our days. Curious and captivated, I sought it out in three different places across the island, each sip deepening my understanding of this extraordinary plant.

That's when I knew I needed ceremonial cacao in my everyday life. And I needed to share it. 

From Bali to Sydney, with love.

Back home in Sydney, I began extensive research to truly understand cacao, its origins, its preparation, its power. What started as a personal obsession quietly became a mission. I wanted my closest people to taste what I had tasted. To feel what I had felt. And then I thought — why stop there?

Sacred Sip Cacao was born not as a business, but as an act of sharing. A desire to place something rare and precious into the hands of anyone who feels called to receive it.

What makes our cacao sacred.

Our cacao is Criollo, one of the rarest and most prized varieties in the world, comprising less than 1–2% of the global supply. Unlike mass-produced cocoa, Criollo contains very few tannins, which means none of the bitterness or harshness you might expect. Instead, it offers a smooth, creamy, deeply nuanced flavour with sweet aromatic notes that linger long after the last sip.

Criollo trees are delicate and difficult to cultivate, highly susceptible to disease and environmental shifts. That rarity is what makes each cup so special and so worth savouring.
